Synopsis

2010: The Year We Make Contact is the sequel to Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, based on Arthur C. Clarke's novel. A joint American and Soviet crew travels to Jupiter to discover what went wrong with the Discovery mission and to unlock the secrets of the enigmatic monolith. The film blends Cold War political tension with cosmic mystery, culminating in a breathtaking transformation of the Jovian system.
