Synopsis

Amour follows Georges and Anne, two retired music teachers in their eighties, as Anne suffers a series of strokes that leave her increasingly paralyzed and dependent. Georges devotedly cares for his wife within the confines of their Paris apartment, navigating grief, exhaustion, and an unwavering commitment to honoring her dignity. Michael Haneke's deeply intimate film is a profound meditation on love, mortality, and the sacrifices made in the name of devotion.
