Synopsis

When twelve alien spacecraft appear around the world, brilliant linguist Dr. Louise Banks is recruited by the military to establish communication with the extraterrestrial visitors. As she deciphers their complex circular language, she begins experiencing strange visions that challenge her understanding of time, memory, and human connection. The film is a deeply emotional meditation on grief, free will, and what it truly means to be human.
