Synopsis

Barton Fink follows a celebrated New York playwright who travels to 1940s Hollywood to write a wrestling picture, only to find himself paralyzed by writer's block in the eerie Hotel Earle. His isolation deepens as he befriends his unsettling neighbor Charlie Meadows, while the hotel itself seems to decay and transform around him. The Coen Brothers craft a surreal psychological thriller exploring creativity, ego, and artistic pretension with dark, haunting imagery.
