Battlefield Earth

Set in the year 3000, Battlefield Earth depicts a dystopian world where humanity has been enslaved by a race of cruel alien warriors called Psychlos for a thousand years. A rebellious human named Jonnie Goodboy Tyler rises up to lead a revolution against their oppressive ruler Terl, using the aliens' own knowledge and technology against them. Starring John Travolta as the villainous Terl, the film became a notorious box office disaster and cultural cautionary tale despite its ambitious scope.
