Synopsis

In 'Billion Dollar Brain' (1967), agent Harry Palmer (Michael Caine) is sent to stop a crime syndicate controlled by a supercomputer. The film follows his adventures across countries, dealing with cold war politics, espionage, and dangerous missions.

Why Watch It
Ken Russell's wildly ambitious spy thriller trades suave espionage for psychedelic chaos, transforming Cold War paranoia into hallucinatory visual excess. Michael Caine's weary Palmer becomes a bewildered everyman caught between computational megalomania and trippy, expressionistic set pieces that anticipate Russell's later baroque madness. A gloriously unhinged relic where cerebral plotting collides with kaleidoscopic style.
