Why Watch It
A raw, unflinching portrait of addiction that captures the seductive allure and devastating spiral of heroin dependency through the lens of a doomed love affair. Neil Armfield presents desire and self-destruction as inseparable, anchored by genuinely tender performances that make the couple's mutual descent feel tragically inevitable rather than moralistic. The film refuses easy judgment, instead rendering every high and crash with visceral, unglamorous authenticity.
