Synopsis
Clerks follows Dante Hicks, a convenience store clerk reluctantly called in on his day off, and his friend Randal, a video store clerk next door. The film captures a single absurd, philosophical, and comedic day filled with disgruntled customers, existential crises, and sharp dialogue. Kevin Smith's debut feature became a defining film of 1990s independent cinema and launched the View Askewniverse.
