Synopsis
Fish Tank follows Mia, a rebellious 15-year-old living on a gritty Essex council estate, whose passion for hip-hop dancing offers a rare outlet for her frustrations. Her life is upended when her mother's charming new boyfriend Connor enters their chaotic household, forming a dangerously complex bond with Mia. Director Andrea Arnold crafts a raw, intimate portrait of working-class struggle, female desire, and the desperate hunger for freedom and self-expression.
