Synopsis
Force Majeure follows a picture-perfect Swedish family on a luxurious ski holiday in the French Alps, where a controlled avalanche triggers a moment of cowardice that exposes deep fractures in their marriage. When the father instinctively grabs his phone and flees instead of protecting his family, his wife refuses to let the incident go unexamined. The film is a sharp, darkly comedic dissection of masculinity, self-deception, and the stories we tell ourselves to preserve our self-image.
