Synopsis
Hausu follows a group of seven teenage girls who travel to a remote countryside home belonging to one girl's mysterious aunt, only to be consumed by supernatural, increasingly bizarre forces. Director Nobuhiko Obayashi crafted a wildly experimental horror-fantasy using avant-garde editing, painted backdrops, and surreal imagery unlike anything in mainstream cinema.
