Heartburn

Heartburn (1986) follows Rachel Samstat, a New York food writer who falls deeply in love with and marries Washington columnist Mark Forman, only to discover his repeated infidelities. Directed by Mike Nichols and starring Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson, the film blends sharp wit with emotional devastation. Based on Nora Ephron's thinly veiled autobiographical novel about her marriage to journalist Carl Bernstein, it explores themes of love, betrayal, and resilience.
