Hot Fuzz follows Nicholas Angel, a brilliantly skilled London police officer reassigned to the seemingly peaceful village of Sandford, where he is paired with the bumbling but lovable Danny Butterman. What appears to be a sleepy, crime-free community slowly reveals a sinister conspiracy beneath its picture-perfect surface, leading to an explosive, action-packed climax. Directed by Edgar Wright, the film is a loving parody of American action blockbusters wrapped inside a sharp British comedy.
A supercop is exiled to a chocolate-box village whose 'accidents' are engineered by a genteel murder cabal — all for the Best Village award. The conspiracy is aggressively, hilariously local.
