John Carter

John Carter, a Civil War veteran, is mysteriously transported to Mars, a planet known to its inhabitants as Barsoom. There, he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the planet's inhabitants, including Tars Tarkas and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris. Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes the survival of Barsoom and its people are at stake.
