Synopsis

Moonlight follows Chiron, a young Black man growing up in a rough Miami neighborhood, across three defining chapters of his life. The film tenderly explores his struggle with identity, sexuality, and belonging while navigating poverty and a drug-addicted mother. Directed by Barry Jenkins, it became the first LGBTQ+ film and first film with an all-Black cast to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
