Synopsis
Directed by David Cronenberg, Naked Lunch follows exterminator-turned-writer Bill Lee as he accidentally shoots his wife and flees into the nightmarish Interzone, a shadowy city of espionage and surreal intrigue. Drawing from William S. Burroughs' semi-autobiographical novel and real life, the film explores addiction, creativity, and identity through grotesque biological imagery and darkly comic paranoia. It stands as one of cinema's boldest and most challenging literary adaptations.
