Synopsis
Based on Ken Kesey's novel, the film follows Randle McMurphy, a free-spirited criminal who fakes mental illness to serve his sentence in a psychiatric hospital rather than prison. Once inside, he clashes relentlessly with the cold and controlling Nurse Ratched, whose iron grip over the patients he seeks to break. The film is a powerful exploration of individuality, institutional control, and the human spirit's desire for freedom.
