Why Watch It
Classic noir at its most intoxicating: a doomed man caught between the woman he wants to forget and the one he can't resist, all rendered in shadows and cynicism by director Tourneur's masterful hand. Robert Mitchum's world-weary cool and Jane Greer's lethal charm make every betrayal feel inevitable, every lie feel like fate.
