Synopsis
Planes, Trains and Automobiles follows uptight marketing executive Neal Page, played by Steve Martin, who is desperately trying to get home to Chicago for Thanksgiving. His journey becomes a hilarious nightmare when he is forced to travel with the relentlessly optimistic and lovable shower curtain ring salesman Del Griffith, played by John Candy. The film balances laugh-out-loud comedy with genuine emotional depth, culminating in one of cinema's most touching endings.
