Semi-Pro follows Jackie Moon, a one-hit-wonder musician who owns, coaches, and plays for the Flint Tropics, a struggling ABA basketball team in 1976. When the ABA announces a merger with the NBA, only the top four teams will survive, forcing Jackie to rally his misfit squad against all odds. The film blends absurd humor with heart as the Tropics battle for their unlikely shot at legitimacy.
