Synopsis

The Butterfly Effect is a film about a man named Evan, played by Ashton Kutcher, who discovers he can travel into his past through reading his childhood diaries. This ability allows him to change events, albeit with unforeseen and often disastrous consequences.

Why Watch It
A mind-bending thriller that twists the butterfly effect into visceral horror—each trip back through Evan's memories warps reality in increasingly disturbing ways. Ashton Kutcher delivers a genuinely committed performance as a man discovering that fixing the past only breaks the future worse. Darkly inventive and narratively ambitious, it asks whether you'd risk everything to undo your trauma.
