  • The Batpod was actually a functioning vehicle, not a prop.
  • Michael Caine was so scared by Ledger's Joker, he forgot his lines.
Iconic Quotes
  • Why so serious?
  • You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
  • Some men just want to watch the world burn.
  • I believe in Harvey Dent.
  • I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve.

Why Eltorama recommends this film

A bank robbery. The Joker’s subordinates kill each other one by one until only the Joker remains. The opening is exactly the film’s philosophy in miniature: chaos as systematic, not random. Nolan shot it on IMAX so the geometry would hit harder.
The Joker proposes that order is a fragile lie maintained by people pretending not to notice. Batman wins the fight, technically, but the Joker wins the argument: Gotham’s most "honest" hero ends the film accepting blame for murders he didn’t commit, exactly as the Joker predicted.
The Joker's chaos theology—civilization is one bad day from collapse—gets explicitly refuted by Dent's coin and Batman's final act. And yet, the film keeps proving him right in every frame.
