Why Watch It
George Clooney delivers a rare vulnerable performance as a detached father forced to confront his failures when tragedy upends his carefully controlled life. Payne's warm, funny script finds genuine pathos in family dysfunction without ever feeling sentimental, balancing dark humor with real emotional stakes. The Hawaiian setting becomes another character—beautiful but isolating—as this grief narrative quietly explores how we hide from those closest to us.
