Editorial

Why Eltorama recommends this film

Philip Marlowe walks down a Mexican country road playing a harmonica, having executed a betrayal Chandler never would have allowed. Altman ends with the most anti-noir sound in cinema: a relaxed shuffle from a man who finally caught up with his decade.
This innovative film noir by Robert Altman is often forgotten but is praised for its unconventional narrative structure.
