Synopsis

Trading Places follows Louis Winthorpe III, a privileged commodities broker, and Billy Ray Valentine, a savvy street con man, whose lives are swapped as part of a cruel bet by the wealthy Duke brothers. As each man adapts to his new circumstances, they eventually discover the plot and join forces to get revenge. The 1983 comedy became a classic for its sharp humor, social commentary on race and class, and breakout performances from Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd.
