Synopsis
Two-Lane Blacktop follows a pair of taciturn car obsessives driving a souped-up 1955 Chevy across America, challenging a flamboyant GTO driver to a cross-country race with pink slips as the prize. Directed by Monte Hellman, the film is less about the race than about alienation, identity, and the hollow American dream of perpetual motion.
