Synopsis
Far and Away follows Joseph Donnelly, a poor Irish tenant farmer, and Shannon Christie, a privileged landlord's daughter, who flee Ireland together for America in the 1890s. Arriving in Boston with nothing, they struggle through poverty and hardship while navigating their complicated feelings for each other. Their journey ultimately leads them to the great Oklahoma Land Rush, where they race to claim land and build a new life together.
